Celebrating Black History Month At Haling Park Care Home

This month at Haling Park Care Home in South Croydon, our residents came together for a truly inspiring Arts and Crafts session in celebration of Black History Month. Creativity flowed throughout the day as everyone worked collaboratively to design a vibrant and meaningful collage showcasing some of the most influential Black icons from around the world. Each resident contributed their own ideas and artistic touches, turning the project into a heartfelt tribute to the achievements and culture of the Black community.
The session encouraged conversation and reflection, as residents shared memories, learned about historical figures, and discussed the values of equality, unity, and pride. The event was accompanied by music, adding to the joyful atmosphere and making it not only a creative experience but also an emotional and educational one.
It was a day full of reflection, creativity, and togetherness, celebrating history while making new memories as a community. At Haling Park Care Home, we are proud to embrace and honour cultural diversity through meaningful activities that inspire connection, learning, and happiness for all our residents.
