Easter Baking Fun & Afternoon Entertainment

The baking club came together at Haling Park, in Croydon to celebrate Easter with a fun and engaging session making rice crispy cakes. Residents enjoyed taking part in each step of the process, from mixing the ingredients to shaping and decorating their creations. The activity encouraged creativity and teamwork, with everyone contributing in their own way and at their own pace. Research in England shows that meaningful activities such as baking can improve both physical and mental health, as well as overall quality of life for care home residents.

In the afternoon, the residents gathered again to enjoy the treats they had made earlier in the day. The Easter celebrations continued with music and entertainment, creating a lively and joyful environment. Talia joined the group, adding to the positive spirit of the occasion as everyone relaxed together. Residents sang along to familiar songs and some took to the dance floor to showcase their moves.
The combination of baking, socialising and entertainment made for a meaningful and enjoyable Easter celebration, bringing residents together and creating moments of connection and happiness throughout the day.
