Valentine’s Day at Haling Park

A time to celebrate romance and love, Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on the day of February 14^th.

On the activities agenda, there were lots of valentine-themed games and arts & crafts. The residents spent the day handcrafting personalised cards for their loved ones and taking part in ‘love’ inspired games and activities including balloon tennis and being entertained by a performance from Barry. Some of the residents also enjoyed a mini pamper session including getting manicures in the hair salon to look and feel their best.

Local entertainer Barry was serenading all the women with his wonderful singing voice, singing the best love songs which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The residents finished the day together sharing stories about their loved ones whilst enjoying freshly made biscuits from the kitchen and indulging in sweet treats and the chocolate fountain.

It's safe to say Valentine's Day was a hit and we can't wait to do it all again next year! Thank you to all the staff who helped to make the day a special one.
